Smart Feed Additive for Good Health and High Performance
A specially developed product for poultry farming, enriched with butyric acid, planted on a highly effective mineral toxin-binder.
Planting technology is unique, and allows you to get the product that is most effective for feeding birds.
At the same time, the butyrate used in the formula is a product of a special high-tech biotechnological process of hydrolysis of secondary raw materials, which allows to ensure environmental friendliness, naturalness and economic efficiency.
LET'S SEE WHAT’S BEHIND THE ADVANTAGES OF THE NLS-AntiTox Poultry Super INGREDIENTS
Butyrate is a beneficial short chain fatty acid , when supplemented in the feed, exert positive action on gut through two main drivers:
- feeding the colonocytes
- inhibiting the growth of gram- bacteria.
At gut level, this effect is converted into a decreased gut permeability thanks to higher tight junction expression and a stimulation of digestive enzyme activity together with a decrease in local inflammation.
Volatile short-chain fatty acids are released at bowel pH, inhibiting the proliferation of pathogen microorganisms. In addition, butyric acid can downregulate expression of genes involved in Salmonella invasion at low doses (Van Immerseel et al., 2006).
- Butyrate has been linked to stress reduction in the gastrointestinal tract. In times of stress the inclusion of butyrate in feed solutions may help mitigate the negative effects on gut function.
- The positive effects of butyrate on gut health and nutrient absorption can translate into improved feed conversion efficiency. Animals may be able to convert feed into body mass more effectively.
- With increasing concerns about antibiotic resistance, butyrate has been explored as a potential alternative to antibiotics in promoting gut health and performance in livestock.
Dietary supplementation with butyrate contributed to a significant increase in eggshell thickness, eggshell weight as a percentage of total egg weight, higher activity of bacterial enzymes in the caecum and higher concentrations of butyric acid in the caecal contents. Hens supplemented with protected butyric acid were characterised by higher calcium concentrations in bones and lower ammonia concentrations in the caecum. The type of protection influenced the dose of the product required to achieve the same effect.
WHY IS BUTYRATE PROTECTION FOR FEED SOLUTIONS SO IMPORTANT?
For the maximum effect of butyric acid, it should be absorbed gradually in the digestive tract, therefore it should be applied as a feed additive in a complex with a delivery agent.
Studies have shown that protection of butyric acid ensures that the active principle is released and absorbed gradually throughout the entire intestinal tract, since the product in its pure form would be absorbed shortly after passage through the stomach.
In this context, a unique technology of NLS – AntiTox Poultry Super combined the use of NLS Zeo-M as a delivery system for butyric acid, and in addition, the mineral sorbent reveals a number of its own effects on the organism
The use of zeolite in poultry feed is a topic of interest in animal nutrition due to its numerous benefits.
- Ammonia Adsorption:
Zeolites have the ability to adsorb ammonia, which is a common concern in poultry houses. - Toxin Binding:
Zeolites binds certain mycotoxins, helping to reduce the negative impact of mycotoxin contamination in feed. - Cation Exchange Capacity:
Zeolites possess cation exchange capacity, which can influence nutrient availability. - Gut Health and Performance:
Zeolites have been explored for their potential to positively influence gut health and performance in poultry.
